Hawaii’s Wild Chickens
Did you know there are wild chickens in Hawaii? In only 1 week I spotted 63 wild chickens! Wild chickens live in Hawaii because there are no hawks, coyotes, or any other predators of chickens, that’s why there are wild chickens in Hawaii but not California. The wild chickens in Hawaii are also very careful, like looking both ways when crossing the road, hiding from humans when they get too close, or even have a rooster with them at all times. Here are some of the chickens I saw:
I saw some wild chickens while I was there! They were terrific. Some of the roosters were really colorful!
ReplyDeleteThe roosters were very colorful and shiny!
DeleteThat is so cool that there are wild chickens in Hawaii!! We wonder if eggs from Hawaiian chickens taste the same or different compared to Californian?
ReplyDeleteI think the chickens in Hawaii’s eggs probably taste different because they eat natural foods and chickens here eat feed.
DeleteWe're going to have to bring some treats next time and make some chicken friends!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun!
DeleteDid you see any pheasants in Hawaii? They are a beautiful, with very colorful feathers, breed, looking like a cross between wild chicken and bird. Pheasants are natives in Taiwan, too.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t see any, but I might of heard one or two.
